Consigning your unwanted belongings can feel like work

Here’s why…you cannot drop off a wedding dress in October, or a fur coat in June. They won’t take your lovely Christmas villages or your winter wear in July.  Items that are accepted for consignment need to be in pristine condition, in season, and current or interestingly vintage. Oh and you have to make an appointment, load up, and usually only bring 15-20 items for review. You will usually go home with some of those items because they were rejected. If items do not sell in the allotted time, you have to make arrangements to pick up. Some shops will allow you to surrender items. After all that, you split a sale 50/50 with the shop. Sounds like work to me.
